Learn more at Lectures As of January 1, Helen BeachamI will be joining Waterfront Art Gallery as a co-owner of the gallery, which is located at 215 East Bay St. in downtown Charleston, a few doors South of Market Street. Please stop by and see me there. And visit Waterfront's website as well (www.waterfrontartgallery.com) … Helen's paintings will be on the website after January 1, 2009. On Friday, December 5, You are invited to Artist Reception at the Charleston Artist Guild Gallery (6 N. Atlantic Wharf near East Bay). Helen Beacham's watercolor series entitled "Barefoot…". My thoughts on the series? The truth of the matter is that the female is an intriguing creature. She can be innocent, playful, sensual, and introspective. She can experience unbelievable joys and also the deepest hurt, despair, confusion or self-doubt. This series is not meant to be "portraits" of women, but rather my attempt at capturing a suspended moment in time…the bare feet symbolizing a vulnerability that gives us "permission" to openly empathize with their emotions. Bring a friend and come visit the show on Friday, December 5 during Charleston's December Art Walk. Thank you all for supporting me this past year at Courtyard Art Gallery. Although I will no longer be exhibiting there after the end of November, I am fortunate to have made wonderful friends at that gallery. If you have questions or comments about these upcoming events, feel free to call or email me at 843-871-5637 or helenKbeacham@gmail.com...
