Gazie Nagle, President,
Community of I’ON Artists
Gazie Nagle attributes her talents to merely being the offshoot of her family roots. She began drawing and painting at an early age. Drawing friends’ portraits and celebrities began in college, and later for a short time worked in oils. Acrylics offered a much-needed faster pace and today she still uses this medium. Not having any formal art training nor involvement (to date) in paint workshops, she has developed her own personal style. She has been commissioned for paintings by both organizations and individuals. A U.S.S. Sea Poacher 401 painting was commissioned for an auction to be held by the Association. Willing to try any subject at least once has expanded her knowledge with various techniques. A donated painting of the Edmondston-Alston House hangs inside the historic house on East Battery.
Digital Photography became quite a passion shortly after moving to the Lowcountry. She has won several awards for her photography and has had long-standing exhibits in both Charleston and North Charleston. Animals, Nature, Architecture, Shadows and Reflections are among her favorite subjects in painting and photography.
She is adept in carpentry, creative with decorative garden features, creates foam carvings of decoys, faux food, and creates both indoor/outdoor decorative murals.
Gazie is an active exhibiting member with the Charleston Artist Guild and Gallery. She is member of the Charleston Center for Photography, and finds the time to volunteer for several local organizations . www.fineartbygazienagle.com
