Who We Are

See photographs from our Shows and Meetings

We have approximately 100 members from beginners to professionals.

We have writers, computer people, business people, medical people and, of course, professional artists and past and present gallery owners. We have come from all walks of life to share a mutual joy in self-expression.    Our Artists are Painters, Potters, Photographers, Jewelry Makers, a Hat Maker...and a sculptor.

The group started as a few artists interested in painting together twice a month.

From that core interest of communing with other artists, we have expanded to participating in local events such as the Holiday Tour of Homes, the CSOL, Showhouse in I'On and our Annual Show in May.

The group meets monthly, usually on the 3rd Wednesday. Some of our meeting are held in the evening which gives us more flexibility in programming and allows our members who work during the day, to attend.  Besure to check the calendar for the time and location of the next meeting. Visitors are always welcome.

We contribute to our Community -

We work with Communities in Schools offering both personal interaction and a portion of the proceeds from our shows.

We perform random acts of kindness - A letter of gratitude from our gifts to Sommerby -

Dear I'On Guild members-
You really made my heart sing the other day with all of your beautiful and generous donations. You will never know how proud I am of us as a group to step forward and enrich others as you have done. I am so overwhelmed with all of your work. It is magnificent. I am going to take before and after pictures to show you how you will be changing the daily environment of each individual in assisted living.
I know that some of you were not able to come to the meeting so I will be hanging after our next meeting on Wed., Nov 16th. If you are unable to come to that meeting I will pick your work up at your house.
Again, thank you for your heart-felt generosity.

We enjoy use of the Creek Club in I'On for our meetings and spring show.
We work closely with The I'On Trust. The trust has provided educational grants to our group and invited us to show in neighborhood events such as the Holiday Tour of Homes and Gardens of I'On.
We are supported by I'On Biznet, the business group in I'On. We received grants and business support from the community businesses. Some of our artists are members and/or particpate in markets and other Biznet events.
